I really didn't know the genesis of the name 'Big Show', still don't. But after being of one the few invited for five nights of what most might call 'excess', at his Florida home near the St. Johns River in Florida, the feasts of drink, beef, and seafood, from his grill convinced me he more than earned the title. The Scroggins lifestyle, his cooking, his approach to tournament fishing and the tireless pace of his life... is indeed a 'Big Show'.
46th: Scroggins Fished too Fast
> Day 1: 4, 6-05 - Floridian Terry Scroggins said he just isn't suited for the current conditions.
"To me, water that's 41 degrees is brutal," he said. "I like to fish fast and cover water and soaking a bait isn't in my nature.
"I'm sure I fished too fast and the more I struggled, the faster I'd get going. I know that doesn't work, but I couldn't get it into my mind to slow down."
